Your interview with her and her telling of her family’s stories was one of my first entry points to your work. The piece gave me so much context for where I was living in Virgil Village and made me feel connected to something bigger. It was a wonderful work of storytelling you all put together with Karen. So very sorry to hear of her passing. This was a lovely remembrance of a very special person.

This is a great loss. We had plans to get together since she moved closer to me and she was able to drive which I couldn’t do yet. I last saw her at another friend’s funeral. I’m so glad to have sat with her that day, the last time I saw this loving friend. She will be missed.
